Two-Michelin-Starred Restaurant Story Begins A New Chapter In Singapore This April

by Nida

For four weeks only, chef-patron Tom Sellers will present dishes inspired and led by the British seasons at Flutes Restaurant

Ever wonder what’s renowned British chef Tom Sellers’ story? Come April, you have the chance to find out as he will be bringing his two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Story from London to Flutes Restaurant at the National Museum of Singapore.
Sellers will lead his core team of chefs and front-of-house staff for their first full-length Asian residency, recreating its aspirational, interactive and playful dining experience in Singapore.

The fact that they will be located inside the historic museum is not lost on Sellers. “The chance to tell a culinary narrative in the context of Singapore’s oldest museum and one of the city’s architectural icons is truly an amazing opportunity,” he says. “Food is integral to any cultural experience, and so being within the museum, it is important for us to curate and deliver an exceptional menu for Singapore.”

Expect an “innovative tasting menu of delicate, masterful dishes” inspired and led by the British seasons and best produce available. Each dish is inspired by a moment in Sellers’ life or the provenance of an ingredient – an edible story of memories through sight, sound and taste. The Singapore residency will feature signature dishes such as the Rabbit Sandwich, Paddington Bear, as well as Custard and Caviar.

Meanwhile, an extensive wine pairing list has been curated by head sommelier Jonathan Kleeman in collaboration with wine bar Park90.

The Restaurant Story residency is from 29 March to 29 April 2022. Prices start from $268++ for a six-course lunch, and $$398++ for an eight-course dinner. Priority booking begins for premium American Express Card Members on a first-come-first-served basis, from 17 to 21 February. Booking for all other Card Members and the general public opens on 22 February here.
