February sure started with a bang with Chinese New Year. Adding onto the joyful mood and festive spirit is this month’s shower of romance and bliss. If you’re looking for new experiences that won’t break the bank, here are some of the most exciting new offerings to discover and indulge.

Fei Lou Fatt

Brought back to life due to an overwhelming demand, Fei Lou Fatt is a new prawn noodles and lok lok concept by the people at White Restaurant Group. Formerly known as Sembawang Prawn Noodles, Fei Lou Fatt’s rich prawn broth is slow-cooked for up to 10 hours daily using a generous portion of fresh prawn heads. Their Big Prawn and Braised Pork Ribs Noodle also boast fork tender pork ribs braised with a specially concocted herb sauce.

Offering over 20 types of lok lok to go with your mains, they also present unique insta-worthy moments with their Prawn-zuke series, inspired by the Japanese Ochazuke (rice porridge), where tea or broth is poured over cooked rice.

Gurney Drive

Back after a seven-year hiatus, the beloved brand reopens along the seafront at Punggol’s Northshore Plaza to offer us that authentic Penang hawker-food experience that once so tastefully hooked Singaporeans with. From Penang’s famous Fried Kway Teow, Assam Laksa, and Prawn Noodles, to Nonya Kuih Pie Tee and Tahu Goreng Penang Style, they are uncompromising in their mission to deliver the most authentic experiences, going so far as to use fresh pork lard – an indispensable part of Penang’s hawker culture – that are rendered in-house daily.

Haven on Earth

A brand new healthy cafe concept by the EagleWings Group, Haven on Earth provides clean, healthy, and wholesome meals suitable for everyone. Featuring a delectable menu of sweets and savouries with well-known partners such as sugar-free ice creams from Camaca and low-carb savoury tartes from Upgrain, their carefully curated offerings are all handmade from fresh, plant-based ingredients.

Knock Knock Cafe

The insta-famous cafe gets a colourful pastel update with their new brunch menu and Beary Cute Ice Creams. Stealing hearts on Instagram since their opening, they now unveil new pastel-coloured novelty walls to give diners more reasons to snap away. Dig into a towering plate of brioche buns, bacon strips, pork sausage, potatoes, mushrooms, and more with their Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Bakey – the quintessential brunch platter. Try their Millionaire Bacon Eggs Benedict or Grilled Triple Cheese and Ham Sandwich for something less indulgent. The new brunch menu is served exclusively on weekends and public holidays.

For fans of the cafe, they’ve also added new items on the regular menu, including the likes of an Iberico Char Siew Burger, a “Ga-Na-Chye” Chilled Capellini with Smoked Duck, and their signature bear faces on scoops of gelato ice cream.

Koal

Conveniently situated along Orchard Rd, Koal is the Les Amis Group’s latest concept. Presenting a unique, mouth-watering charcoal grill dining experience with their exquisite marriage of Asian and Western grilling techniques, KOAL’s menu of grilled meats and seafood delivers defined yet charmingly balanced flavours from Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and classic Western cuisines.

Middle Ground by Tanuki Raw

Quietly located within Singapore’s National Design Centre, Tanuki Raw launches a new retail-in-restaurant concept featuring masterfully-crafted, well-designed items that elevate your everyday life – redefining the experiences of both diners and shoppers. Their widely-acclaimed flavour-forward cuisine boasts highlights such as the Superstar Reroll, a panko-crusted crispy maki made with Vietnamese rice roll paper, snow crab, mozzarella and tamago, then topped with aburi mentaiko mayo salmon, tempura flakes and okonomiyaki sauce, and the outlet-exclusive NDC Truffle Yakiniku, with pan-seared U.S. Black Angus short rib, onsen egg, truffle soy sauce, and house-made pickles over Tanuki Raw’s signature rice.

A leader of quality steaks and premium grills in Singapore, Opus celebrates its 7th-year anniversary with a refreshed menu that promises to bring diners to new culinary heights. Amongst the new additions are highlights like their Seared Tuna Carpaccio, Wagyu Short Rib Croquettes, and an unforgettable Saffron Seafood Risotto.
