Saigon Gourmet Week Is Making A Grand Return!

Building on the triumph of the previous events and staying true to the Sofitel brand's authentic and lively food and beverage concept, Sofitel Saigon Plaza is delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of the 5th Saigon Gourmet Week, taking place from October 6th to 8th, 2023.

In a culinary celebration like no other, this year's event brings together a remarkable gathering of 9 Michelin-star and renowned celebrity chefs from across the globe. They will join forces in a delightful series of cooking classes, lunches, dinners, and an all star chefs brunch, all thoughtfully hosted at the magnifique Sofitel Saigon Plaza.

1. Chef Adrien Guenzi of Lüne Restaurant. 

Adrien Guenzi's cuisine, inspired by his global travels and encounters, marries visual artistry with Lyon's culinary tradition, embodying his artistic flair and cultural heritage.

2. Chef Sakal Phoeung of Le Corto & P'Ti Saigon. 

President of Les Disciples d'Escoffier Vietnam, Sakal Phoeung is a French executive chef with over 25 years of experience in luxury dining, renowned for his creative flair and culinary passion.

3. Chef Thierry Renou of Le Patio, 1* Michelin

Thierry Renou, a one star Michelin French chef, is known for his talent in blending South-West France's finest ingredients with Asian influences, inspired by his travels to Southeast Asia and love for exotic spices.

4. Chef Shozo Tsuruhara of Fume

Shozo Tsuruhara, a visionary chef in Saigon, redefines the culinary landscape by blending Japan's culinary heritage with his charcoal grill mastery, crafting premium modern Japanese cuisine.

5. Chef Sébastien Voelker of Patisserie Voelker

6. Chef Truc Dinh - Top Chef Vietnam 2023 & Executive Chef at NakaThai

Truc Dinh, an exceptional chef with 15+ years of experience, serves as the Executive Chef at NakaThai and proudly holds the title of Top Chef Vietnam 2023, cementing his status as one of the country's top culinary talents.

7. Chef Vuong Vo - Top Chef Vietnam 2019 & Head Chef of Coco Dining

The Top Chef Vietnam 2019 champion who has conquered both tradition and innovation with finesse, Vuong Vo invites Vietnamese food enthusiasts on a flavor-packed journey from North to South.

8. Chef Victor Ceano Savall of Savall

Inheriting a 120-year-old Barcelona chocolate-making tradition, Chef Victor Ceano Savall introduces Vietnam to this rich heritage through chocolate bars adorned with local patterns and exceptional ingredients.

9. Chef Keiko Nagae of Arome, Paris

Tokyo native Keiko Nagae, who trained at Cordon Bleu in Paris and Ladurée, is a renowned pastry chef known for her intricate designs and harmonious flavors, firmly establishing herself in the realm of culinary excellence.

As part of Saigon Gourmet Week, a series of captivating culinary experiences awaits. Participants have the opportunity to join morning cooking classes led by expert chefs and relish a delightful lunch afterward. Moreover, guests can indulge in sumptuous 3-course lunches and extravagant 4-course dinners, meticulously prepared by our Michelin star and celebrity chefs. For those with a taste for fine wines, there is the option to enjoy expertly curated wine pairings during the evening dinners.

Last but not least, the highlight of the event is the All Star Chefs Brunch on October 8th, where seven talented chefs take center stage at seven different cooking stations. This presents a golden opportunity for diners to witness the art of live cooking up close and personal, while engaging in direct interaction with these culinary maestros.
