Oceania Cruises
The New Rhythm Of Wellness Travel

Epicure Vietnam

Wellness at sea is moving beyond the spa. Through more than 50 destination-led experiences across Asia, Europe and South America, Oceania Cruises invites travellers to explore wellbeing through movement, ritual, cuisine and culture, revealing how a deeper connection to place can become one of travel’s most restorative luxuries.

Luxury travel has long promised escape. Increasingly, however, the greater privilege is to return with something more lasting: a new ritual, a different perspective, or simply a renewed sense of balance.

Oceania Cruises places this idea at the heart of its Wellness Discovery Tours, a collection of more than 50 small-group experiences designed around the character of each destination. Rather than treating wellbeing as a separate pursuit, the programme draws it into the journey itself, allowing local traditions, landscapes and ways of living to shape the experience.

In Bangkok, tai chi unfolds through slow, deliberate movement near Viharn Sien. Colombo brings a more expressive rhythm through Kandyan dance therapy, while Santorini pairs yoga on a winery terrace with local vintages and sweeping views across the caldera. In Chilean Patagonia, a catamaran journey through the Aysén Fjord leads to secluded thermal pools surrounded by an elemental landscape of water and mountains.

Vietnam offers two particularly evocative encounters. In Ho Chi Minh City, guests explore organic teas and vegetarian cuisine while discovering the nuances of the country’s tea culture. From Hanoi, the journey turns contemplative at Yen Tu Mountain, combining tai chi with a vegetarian lunch within the spiritual setting of a Buddhist monastery.

Elsewhere, centuries-old approaches to restoration take different forms. The mineral waters of Terme dei Papi near Rome recall a bathing tradition once favoured by popes, artists and poets, while Hong Kong introduces guests to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine through consultations and established therapeutic practices.

The same spirit of discovery continues on board Oceania Cruises’ intimate, adults-only ships. Culinary lectures, hands-on cooking classes, food and wine pairings, Artist Loft workshops, cultural talks and live performances extend the experience beyond each port, creating a voyage shaped as much by learning as by leisure.

For Oceania Cruises, the idea is not simply to visit more destinations, but to experience them more deeply. Supported by personalised service, acclaimed cuisine and destination-intensive itineraries ranging from seven to 180 days, each voyage creates space to discover unfamiliar traditions while travelling at an unhurried rhythm.

In this vision of luxury, wellbeing is not confined to the spa. It may be found in a morning movement ritual, a shared meal, a mountain monastery or a quiet thermal pool at the edge of the world. The destination itself becomes part of the restoration.
