Danang Marriott Resort & Spa
Four Hands Dining Experience at Madame Son

On 29 May 2026, Madame Son, the signature Vietnamese restaurant at Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, welcomed discerning guests to an extraordinary Four Hands Dining Experience, an evening where culinary artistry, sustainability, and cultural storytelling converged in remarkable harmony.

The exclusive six-course dinner united two visionary chefs whose shared passion for innovation and authenticity has helped shape Vietnam’s evolving gastronomic landscape. Executive Chef Twedi Martatna of Danang Marriott Resort & Spa joined forces with Chef Summer Le, Founder and Executive Chef of Nén Danang, the first restaurant in Vietnam to be awarded a Michelin Green Star, to create a dining journey that reimagined Vietnamese cuisine through a contemporary lens.

At the heart of the evening was a profound respect for Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage and the land from which it originates. The menu showcased a carefully curated selection of forgotten and underappreciated ingredients sourced from Central Vietnam, including produce harvested from the organic gardens of Evergreen Garden at Danang Marriott Resort & Spa and Nén Farm.

Guided by a shared commitment to sustainability, both chefs transformed humble local ingredients into sophisticated expressions of modern gastronomy. Their collaboration embodied a compelling philosophy: bringing Vietnam to the world while inviting the world to discover Vietnam through its cuisine.

Chef Twedi infused the menu with the precision and elegance of global culinary techniques, while remaining deeply rooted in the essence of Vietnamese flavors. Complementing this approach, Chef Summer Le presented her signature narrative-driven cuisine, drawing inspiration from local culture, natural landscapes, and cherished traditions to craft dishes that were both evocative and intellectually engaging.

Throughout the evening, familiar flavors were elevated through contemporary interpretations, innovative textures, and refined presentations, offering guests a fresh perspective on Vietnam’s culinary identity.

Among the evening’s most memorable creations was Chef Summer’s Roasted Rice Sunset Mousse, a poetic tribute to Danang’s spectacular coastal sunsets. Delicate yet deeply expressive, the dish evoked nostalgia, sense of place, and the emotional connection between food and memory.

Equally captivating was Chef Twedi’s interpretation of European culinary refinement through a beautifully executed Wagyu Beef Striploin, accompanied by freshly harvested vegetables from Evergreen Garden. The dish highlighted both technical mastery and a commitment to local provenance, seamlessly bridging international sophistication with regional authenticity.

Together, these signature creations reflected the spirit of the evening, an exploration of craftsmanship, creativity, and the transformative power of ingredients rooted in their place of origin. The experience unfolded within the distinctive setting of Madame Son, one of Danang’s premier destinations for contemporary Vietnamese dining.

Inspired by the enduring beauty of Vietnamese women, graceful, elegant, and deeply connected to tradition while embracing modernity, Madame Son also pays homage to the iconic Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son), which rise majestically opposite the resort.

Designed in a sophisticated Indochine style, the restaurant blends artistic paper umbrellas, vibrant lanterns, and intricate Champa-inspired details to create an atmosphere that is both culturally immersive and visually enchanting. Every element reflects a celebration of Vietnamese artistry and heritage.

Within this refined setting, traditional Vietnamese recipes are elevated through premium ingredients, locally sourced spices, and contemporary culinary techniques, resulting in a dining experience that is distinctly Madame Son.

This unwavering pursuit of excellence has garnered international acclaim, including recognition from the World Luxury Restaurant Awards and a place among the Top 100 Restaurants of the World by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2025.

As the evening drew to a close, guests departed with more than memories of an exceptional meal. The Four Hands Dining Experience stood as a testament to the dynamism of Vietnam’s contemporary culinary scene, a movement that honors heritage while embracing innovation, sustainability, and global dialogue.

More than a dinner, it was a celebration of Vietnam’s evolving gastronomic identity, thoughtfully shared with the world through every plate, every story, and every carefully crafted moment.
