Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers Announces Official Renaming As Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel

From 01 April 2024, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers will be officially renamed as Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel, marking a new era for one of the most prominent five-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City.

Debuted in 2003, for over two decades of providing the finest hospitality in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers has set benchmarks for world-class upper premium hotel accommodation in Vietnam. By changing into the new hotel name, Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel steps into a refreshing journey in conjunction with the upcoming renovation of the 26-story Grand Tower.

The brand Sheraton Hotels, Marriott International’s most global brand, with rich history and iconic presence in the hospitality industry remains its position as a symbol of excellence, trust, and a world gathering place for our guests - both international travelers and locals alike, while “Sheraton Saigon” has established itself as Saigon’s main gathering address in communities’ heart from across the globe.

The name changes from “Hotel & Towers” to “Grand Opera Hotel” is a tribute to and to pay homage to the iconic Saigon Opera House, a landmark historical building which is in close proximity to the hotel. Its original name Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers indicates its two towers, including the Main Tower comprising of 379 newly renovated rooms since 2020, characterized by Vietnam’s national lotus flower habitat and the Grand Tower with 106 studios and suites offering world-class standard with spacious rooms since its conversion in 2008. The new name combining “Opera” and “Grand” reveals its new positioning, especially with the upcoming renovation of the Grand Tower, an elevated luxury centric design that will highlight inspiration from the Saigon Opera House.

Julian Wong, General Manager says: “The Opera House is one of Saigon's grand landmarks with its magnificent French colonial architecture, cultural arts and musical entertainments. The new hotel name, Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel has been formed to represent the symbolism of the Opera House integrated into the Grand Tower’s new interior design elements, offering unmatched luxury experience. Starting from quarter four this year, the renovation of Grand Tower is expected to be completed in 2025. Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel is an iconic landmark located in the intersection of Dong Khoi street and Dong Du street. For over twenty years in Ho Chi Minh City, we pride ourselves in the overall success, thanks to our amazing associates. Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel continues to be the gathering place for global travelers and local patrons alike with its exemplary service and renowned reputation, elevated guest experience and soon, with luxury Grand Opera guestrooms combining the charming characteristics of Saigon with world-class Marriott service levels.”
